Filter Warranty Claims
Everything we sell is covered by a manufacturers warranty. Warranty terms vary by product and and claims should be submitted directly to the manufacturer. We are happy to provide guidance on the submission process.
Battery Warranty
Our battery warranty works like this:
All of our batteries are covered for ‘Manufacturers Defects’ for the specified warranty period. That does not cover freezing (discharged batteries can freeze at as warm as 0 degrees C, charged batteries are good down to -70c), discharged batteries (for whatever reason), or misuse/abuse.
That said, in the event of any issue our manufacturers require us to charge and check the battery with the industry standard AutoMeter SB5/2 load tester. We generally need the battery for 24 hours to complete this process. This will correct any discharged batteries and we do this free of charge. If a replacement battery is required during this process, we offer to sell you a new battery with the option to return it for a full refund if your battery charges and tests good. (Same as a ‘loan-a-tool’ program.) If your battery is bad and covered under the warranty, we simply refund your purchase 100% and you keep the new battery.
Battery warranty is not insurance. It is only meant to cover manufacturers defects. A vehicle that has a draw/short/charging/other problem is not a battery manufacturing defect. We understand that this process might not please everyone, but we will do our best to provide options to keep your vehicle going and suggestions on how to track down electrical problems.
